I am doing Andrew Bakers' workshop - Breathing Life and Presence into Digital Creatures, in which I have learnt loads. Andrew is a concept artist working at Weta workshops in windy wello.
The course has live feedback sessions at the end of each week so you get chat with him direct over your work, (not just a bunch of vids on line). Andrew is pretty easy going (an ex saffa like myself) and has given up a lot of his time to get the course together and do the live feedback(which can take up to 4 hours). The course is a full eight weeks, I am only at week 03 and I think that by the end of it should have something I can proudly show off. Its pretty intensive and a lot of talented people on the forum doing the course -looking forward to finishing up and seeing where my final concept piece goes.
Oh yeah as for the above image, the final character will be based off of bottom left variation of my female orc submissions to Andrew (all will be revealed as her character is developed _ will post her full breakdown/backstory soon).
This year 9so far) has been good for me and doodles I joined a facebook sketch group - I was supposed to a drawing a day for January (which I failed at miserably), but I have kept it up since Jan and I am now filling my sketchbook with some interesting doodles (which I need to scan and upload) - so all is good.
