Monday night - ZBrush - a dynamesh sketch, just playing about with shapes.

Well, I just discovered that I had finished off the fore arms twice - I have to pay better attention to what I do with project files on removable HD between work and home. So after in inadvertently reworking some parts I didn't need to - now I am wondering whether I should finish him off at all or just move on? Kind of well over him now - he needs veins, subcutaneous fat, pores and wrinkles. Will have to do a quick sketch tonight to get him out of my head.
As part of my on-going experiments with photogrammetry I have been photographing workmates guerilla walk around style, then using Agisoft to create meshes to play with in Z Brush/3DCoat. I shot Kait about two weeks ago but hadn't gotten around to posting my first pass results - initially I didn't get as good a result as I did with Ian - I guess that could be to do with the fact that there are less points of interest on her face (i.e. wrinkles and facial hair).
![]() I completed my anatomy on-line studies with Scott Eaton about two weeks a go. Overall the course was pretty intense - some people are still working through the material and I know I will need to revisit sections again to reinforce my understanding of human anatomy. So just a quick post of one of the results of the course - an ecorche of a classical marble statue from the Louvre (one of the three in his exercises). I do have to go back re-watching some of his video sections, specifically the fore-arms and upper back videos while I still have my video subscription as I know these areas of understanding are still a little hazy. It has certainly made me level up in my understanding of anatomy - even though I had a lot of the books Scott mentioned I hadn't spent the time in understanding them or doing draw over ecorche studies. I hope to post some additional ecorche studies of the human body soon - who knows maybe even with the Latin names of the muscle groups, it certainly will help me remember them. I took some photos of colleagues yesterday at work - using Agisoft Photoscan with reasonably good results to generate meshes last night. A good starting point for a life sculpt, or perhaps Ian needs the body of a centaur?
An update on the heavy guys body - still to finish off arms, forearms hands and feet - there is way too much happening on the forearms, but that will be toned down.
